Editing the HTML code
You’re almost done – all that’s left is to edit the code to replace the URL markers with the URLs of your videos and the Flash player.
Begin by coping each URL from your file storage space or the Dropbox public link, and paste it in the code to replace the URL markers in the code.
In the following example and accompanying illustration, we’ve used all three video formats, so we’ve replaced 6 references in the code. Each of the three video URLs has been added to the 3 “source” code lines (1-3), the Flash player URL twice to the “object” code (4-5), in addition to the mp4 URL used by the Flash player (6):
<video width="640" height="360" controls autoplay>
<source src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17944878/HTML5video/emyspot-free-website-builder.mp4" type='video/mp4; codecs="avc1.42E01E, mp4a.40.2"'>
<source http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17944878/HTML5video/emyspot-free-website-builder.webm" type='video/webm; codecs="vp8, vorbis"'>
<source src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17944878/HTML5video/emyspot-free-website-builder.theora.ogv" type='video/ogg; codecs="theora, vorbis"'>
<object width="320" height="240" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
data="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17944878/HTML5video/flowplayer-3.2.6.swf">
<param name="movie" value="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17944878/HTML5video/flowplayer-3.2.6.swf" />
<param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" />
<param name="flashvars" value='config={"clip": {"url": " http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17944878/HTML5video/emyspot-free-website-builder.mp4 ", "autoPlay":false, "autoBuffering":true}}' />
</object>
</video>
We’ve also added window dimensions, player controls and autoplay functions to the video tags (7). Save your changes, and you’re done!
