Online payments

With the BookingPro subscription, you can allow your customers to pay their rental online in full or in part as a down payment. Let's see how to set up these payment methods and set up online payments or down payments on your site.

Payment methods

You can offer your clients to book your rental by check, by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal. To add a payment method, you must first create a payment structure. To add a payment method, you must first create a payment structure.

Go to Settings > Global settings > Payment structures and click Add Payment Structure.

Add a payment structure: fill in the name you want to assign to the structure that will allow you to easily identify it. Add descriptive text if necessary and save.

Specify the means of payment related to this structure: Click on the edit button of the newly created structure then select the means of payments that you wish to add. It is necessary to add bank information for the wire transfer and payment by check to work. To allow your customers to pay by PayPal, you must enter your PayPal ID.

Payment with PayPal

Go to Settings > Global settings > Payment structures and edit your created structure for the booking. Edit Add Payment Method select PayPal and enter the following details.

A title and description: this information will be displayed on the site to present the means of payment

The PayPal ID: simply enter the email address to manage your PayPal account.

Pay by cheque

Go to Settings > Global settings > Payment structures and edit your created structure for the booking. Click Add Payment Method select by cheque and enter the following details.

A name: This is what will be displayed on your website when site visitors are paying for their booking.

A description: Add a description that will appear beneath the payment type.

You may also choose to create a surcharge for this type of payment.

Do not forget to add the address and payable to information. This is the address to which the check must be sent and the name of the person to address the check.

Payment by wire transfer

Go to Settings > Global settings > Payment structures and edit your created structure for the booking. Click Add Payment Method select wire transfer and enter the following details.

A name: This is what will be displayed on your website when site visitors are paying for their booking.

A description: Add a description that will appear beneath the payment type.

You may also choose to create a surcharge for this type of payment.

Do not forget to add the account name, account number, and the payment reference.

Associate your payment structure to the booking add-on

Once the payment structure has been created in Settings > Global settings > Payment structures you can go to Add-ons> Booking> Settings> Payment methods to add your payment structure.

Total payment vs. down payment?

You can ask those that book online to pay a down deposit or pay the full amount of their booking to book. The booking will be valid only after payment in down payment or in full of the rental amount. Go to Add-ons > Booking > Settings > Preferences to set up the payment system you want to set up on your site.

Go to the section titled Orders, and select the option of your choice between disabled, payment in full, or deposit. If you do not want to manage online payment (partial or full), simply leave it on disabled.

To enable a payment system based on a deposit or down payment, choose the option Deposit and define the % of the deposit you wish to acquire.

Manage payments

Have you received a new payment by check, wire transfer or PayPal?

Go to Add-ons > Booking > Bookings then click on Details (1) to access the customer's order and change the status of his reservation.

If the customer pays by PayPal or PayPlug:

You will receive an e-mail confirming the reservation from emyspot. Then you receive a confirmation of payment from PayPal or PayPlug.

The reservation is automatically confirmed and the customer is notified by e-mail.

If the customer pays by bank transfer or check:

You will receive an e-mail confirming the reservation (from emyspot).

You must manually confirm the booking on your manager so that the customer receives a confirmation e-mail and the reserved period is no longer bookable.

To do this, wait until the payment arrives by mail (check) or it is credited to your account (transfer).

To manually confirm a reservation by check or bank transfer, click the Details button (see above) and click Edit.

Fill in the amount already cashed, check the Paid box and then select the payment method (check or bank transfer)

Customize the booking confirmation email

You can personalize the confirmation message sent after receiving the payment. This is the same message that will be displayed on the site after the customer has confirmed his reservation. To customize the confirmation text, go to Add-ons > Bookings > Settings > Preferences. At the bottom of the page, a visual editor will allow you to personalize your confirmation text.
